Second International Course on Geotechnical and Structural Monitoring

on June 4-6, 2015 at “Castle of Poppi,” Tuscany, Italy

The purpose of the course is to guide participants on how to plan and execute effective geotechnical and structural monitoring programs. Presentations will be given by fourteen leading experts of the geotechnical and structural monitoring community from Italy, England, France, Norway, Canada, Switzerland and USA. The course is intended for project managers and other decision-makers who are concerned with management of RISK during construction, geotechnical and structural engineers, end users, consultants, service providers, manufacturers and researchers.

The last day will be a workshop with lecturers given by leading experts from industry and academia, including John Burland, Michele Jamiolkowski and Elmo DiBiagio, and with interactive sessions. The workshop is intended to reinforce the vital contribution of monitoring to the success of engineering projects.
