The BGA functions only with the commitment of its members and their willingness to give active support to our activities. Nine of our Executive Committee are directly elected by the BGA membership to hold office for three years, so there are three vacancies to fill each year. Nominations are now being invited to stand for election this year. The term of office will be from June 2015 to June 2018. Further details of the requirements for nomination are available on the website.



Membership 28 February 2015 benefits withdrawal members (both BGA and ICE) whose subscriptions remain outstanding have now been deleted from mailing lists and will receive no further information from me;  please urge any of your colleagues to whom this applies to renew online via MyICE – they will be removed from the database entirely on 30th Apri.

Winner announced 3March 2015 Cooling Prize Presentations at Southampton University William Beuckelaers beat off stiff competition to win the 2015 Cooling Prize of £200, a  crystal decanter and BGA sponsored place at EYGEC in Durham just prior to the ECSMGE Conference in Edinburgh.
