Call for Nominations for the BGA Executive Committee – Deadline extended to 5pm on 5 May 2021

The British Geotechnical Association (BGA) is calling for nominations for members to stand for election to the BGA Executive Committee.

The BGA relies on the work of volunteers and the Executive Committee needs the help of more BGA members. Each year three members are elected to serve on the executive committee for three years and the search is on for new candidates. If you fit the description of “enthusiastic BGA members who are keen to contribute toward our vibrant association” then you could be just what we need.

Three committee members are sought in 2021, to serve a three-year term on the committee.

If more than three people are nominated, a ballot will be held and the result will be declared at the Annual General Meeting.

The BGA elections are administered by CES - Civica Election Services (formerly the Electoral Reform Services (ERS)). If you wish to stand for election please contact BGA Honorary Secretary, Nick Armstrong n.armstrong@fugro.com

Please use this link to access the nomination submission page, which provides further details of the nomination and election process.

Each nomination must:

  • Include the candidate's BGA Membership No.
  • Be supported by three BGA members.
  • Include a short CV or personal statement of around 300 words

The deadline for nominations has been extended to 5pm on Wednesday 5 May 2021.

Details of the duties of Committee members can be obtained from the BGA Honorary Secretary, Nick Armstrong n.armstrong@fugro.com

Voting will commence in May 2021 – BGA members will receive a CES - Civica Election Services voting link by email when voting opens.
