The British Geotechnical Association (BGA) is the principal
association for geotechnical engineers in the United Kingdom.
Online access to Ground Engineering (GE) is included in BGA subscriptions.
BGA Members and other subscribers to GE can access page-turning digital versions of the print issue, and the July issue has just been added to the GE website.
The latest issue features an interview with new BGA chair David Toll; and reports covering an innovative hollow piling system, the Achilles programme's work around long linear asset deterioration, a double pipe jacking operation for London’s new waste treatment and recycling hub, and the challenges of designing piles for ever larger wind turbines; as well as a technical paper on "Ground movement prediction for a piled basement: A case study from Garlickhythe, City of London, UK".
In addition, there is this month's Engineering Insight Q&A with Tensar chief civil engineer (Yuli) Chaido Doulala-Rigby, as well as the latest news and opinion.
