The May 2023 issue of Ground Engineering features reports on complex engineering works at the Elephant & Castle town centre redevelopment scheme in south London, the programme to build the UK’s first geological disposal facility for radioactive waste, and ground investigations that were required at Southend-on-Sea in Essex.
It also includes a feature that looks at the contractors working on Canary Wharf Group projects that are tracking and reporting embodied carbon consumption during construction, as well as a technical paper on pile construction using polymer support fluid at Gull Wing Bridge in Lowestoft, Suffolk.
In addition, this edition features an Engineering Insight Q&A with Jacobs engineering geologist and 2022 Glossop Award winner Carla Martín Clavé, as well as the latest news and opinion.
