The Engineering Group of the Geological Society are hosting a one day conference that endeavours to explore advances in geological and geotechnical data handling and modelling.

The day will be split into four parts, encouraging themed discussion in this ever progressing field:

  1. Data gathering in the field / remote monitoring
  2. Data transfer, storage and collaborative sharing
  3. Turning data into information – geological modelling
  4. Industry benefits and future work

Presentations will appeal to a wide audience identifying the vast applicability of data handling and modelling techniques. Topics include rail, natural hazards, offshore, tunnelling, risk and financial implications.
