Early Career Group South West continues to expands

Following the appointment of the ECG Chair and Communications Officer for the South West Sub-Committee, further elections were held to appoint the ECG SW Secretary. At the ECG Committee meeting held in October 2019, the role of ECG SW Secretary was awarded to Safak Muslu of Tony Gee and Partners LLP.

The ECG Committee felt Safak’s past experience as an outreach officer for Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Bristol branch during his time at university demonstrated his dedication to showcasing the wonders an engineering career encompasses. At Tony Gee and Partners LLP, Safak is the Continuing Professional Development Event organiser for his office, and a committee member of the Sustainability in Design Group. Safak’s aim for the ECG South West hub is “to work harmoniously with my team and create the infrastructure that will enable a community of likeminded geotechnical engineers to grow and congregate whilst sharing knowledge and expressing ideas.”
