Call for entries for the BGA Case Histories Award 2024

The British Geotechnical Association (BGA) is pleased to invite submissions for the BGA Case Histories Award. The objective of the award is to encourage and recognise the importance of exchange of exemplary geotechnical knowledge and experience of the performance of constructed works for the benefit of the geotechnical profession.

The award is presented for an outstanding contribution to the knowledge and experience of the United Kingdom geotechnical engineering profession through the publication of a well-considered and researched case history or histories, or the publication of recommended practices or design methodologies based on the evaluation of case histories that provide beneficial insights into the geotechnical aspects of constructed works.

The award is open to papers from members and non-members of the BGA and may be given to a single author or multiple collaborating authors. However, a submission must be made by a BGA or ICE member, but they need not be an author of the paper. Preference is placed on peer reviewed papers published in the last 5 years.

Submissions should be made via the on-line submissions portal on the BGA website. Full details of the award, eligibility criteria and application forms can be found on the BGA website HERE.

Deadline for submissions is midnight on 31 January 2024.
