Call for Nominations for the BGA Executive Committee 2026
The British Geotechnical Association (BGA) is seeking nominations from members interested in serving on its Executive Committee. As the BGA depends on volunteers, additional support from its membership is essential to the Committee’s ongoing work. Each year, three individuals are elected to join the Executive Committee for a three-year term, and the search for new nominees is now underway.
The BGA is committed to welcoming, onboarding, and supporting all members, irrespective of gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, age, neurodiversity, disability status, citizenship, or any other unique attribute. If you fit the description of “enthusiastic BGA member who is keen to contribute toward our vibrant association” then you could be just what we need.
The BGA elections are administered by CIVICA. BGA members should receive an email with a secure link to the nomination submission page. Please reframe from posting nominations until Friday 13 March.
If more than three people are nominated, a ballot will be held, and the result will be declared at the Annual General Meeting.
Each nomination must:
- Include the candidate’s BGA Membership No.
- Be supported by three BGA members.
- Include a short CV or personal statement of around 300 words
The deadline for nominations is noon on Friday 10 April 2026.
