Introduction

The inaugural session of the BGA ECG MOGE Discussion Series is now open for application. This is a unique opportunity to engage with the broader engineering community and facilitate insightful discussions.

We are thrilled to announce that our first session will feature esteemed speakers Prof. John Burland, Dr. Jackie Skipper, and Tim Chapman. They will lead an enlightening discussion on the 'Context of Geotechnical Engineering,' sharing their invaluable insights and experiences. The session will include an overview of selected MOGE chapters – including, Chapter 4: The Geotechnical Triangle, Chapter 7: Geotechnical Risks and Their Context, and Chapter 40: The Ground as a Hazard. This will be followed by an interactive discussion led by the panel.

The first session will be held in Lecture Theatre 164 at the Skempton Building, Imperial College London, on 21st February. Please register for your place via the following link.
