BGA ECG Event: Continuing Professional Review Event: Preparing for ICE Professional Review – General Tips and Guidance

Introduction

This presentation will provide in-depth presentations and practical guidance for geotechnical engineers on how to approach the Professional Review and how to interpret the ICE guidelines in the geotechnical field. This event provides the opportunity for those who are sitting the ICE Professional Review in the near future to get some insights from two experienced geotechnical engineers who have recently completed their professional review and a highly experienced and well-accomplished geotechnical engineer who is an ICE reviewer. The event will start with Sam Rogers presenting tips and guidance on achieving the ICE attributes and Alison Graham presenting on what to expect on the day, and then followed by a short mock review with recently chartered geotechnical engineer, Sam Rogers. The session will continue with Mike Hoffman, also a recently chartered geotechnical engineer, sharing his on-the-day experience from a candidate’s perspective. The event will close with a Q&A session.
