Early Career Welcome and Networking: With the BGA ECG

Introduction

The BGA Early Career Group are hosting a networking session which will be attended by a range of professionals who work both in academia and industry. The Chair of the ECG Committee, Emily Riley, will begin the evening's event with a welcome speech, followed by a key note speech by Henry Tayler, Senior Geotechnical Engineer at Arup and Chair of the Ground Engineering Editorial Panel.

Attendees are then invited to have conversations with facilitators for the chance to win a coveted BGA ECG prize! Facilitators include academics from UCL, the ICE London Membership Development Officer plus delegates from WJ UK, Geosense, Arup, Kroll Expert Services, AECOM and more.

Discussions may include the future of geotechnics, chartership progression and opportunities within industry and/or academia.

The event will formally close at 20:00, which will be followed by informal networking until close.

Drinks and Nibbles will be provided throughout the event.
