The Geotechnical Society of Paraguay (SPG), active member of the International Society for Rock Mechanics and Rock Engineering (ISRM) is inviting delegates to the IX Latin American Rock Mechanics Symposium. The symposium will take place in the city of Asuncion, Paraguay.
The congress will host the theme ” Challenges in rock mechanics: towards a sustainable development of infrastructure” covering topics of present relevance and interest for the Latin- American region.
Topics will include but not be limited to the following:
- Energy infrastructure: dams, reservoirs, waste disposal
- Environmental geomechanics
- Site Characterization
- Soft Rocks
- Tunnelling
- Rock mass properties
- Rock mass classification
- Shortcrete
- Numerical Methods.
