Proceedings of the Earthworks 2025 conference are now available on the BGA Members Area

The BGA is pleased to announce that the proceedings of the 4th Biennial Conference Earthworks 2025 is now available to read in the BGA Members Area. In due course the proceedings will also be available in the ISSMGE Library.

Earthworks 2025 was the fourth in a series of biennial conferences organised by the BGA, starting with Chalk 2018, followed by Piling 2020 and Geo-Resilience 2023. Earthworks 2025 was held in September 2025 in Birmingham, at the University of Birmingham.

Earthworks 2025 was the fourth in a series of biennial conferences organised by the BGA. It took place in Birmingham on 15-18 September 2025. The proceedings include the papers that were presented at the conference, arranged in six themes:

  1. Building resilient and sustainable earthworks
  2. Design of modern earthworks and their impact on society
  3. Monitoring of earthworks and risk management
  4. Case histories and the use of earthworks trials
  5. The specification and treatment of earthworks
  6. Advances in plant and earthworks construction

The BGA is pleased to announce that the proceedings of the 4th Biennial Conference Earthworks 2025 is now available to read in the BGA Members Area. In due course the proceedings will also be available in the ISSMGE Library. Conference delegates who are not members of the BGA will be able to continue accessing the papers through the conference App for the next few months.
