Registration is now open for Earthworks 2025 Conference

Registration is now open for the British Geotechnical Association’s 4th Biennial Earthworks Conference, taking place in Birmingham, 15th and 18th September 2025.

Early Bird rates available until Monday 30 June

Please note that the main conference sessions will take place on the 16th and 17th of September. On 15th September, the event will open with a special lecture and evening reception, and site visits are planned for 18th September. All activities are included in the conference fee, with the exception of the Gala Dinner on the evening of the 16th, which will be ticketed separately.

The conference will spotlight the design and construction of new earthworks, with a rich programme of talks and case studies covering:

  • Behaviour of engineering geo-materials
  • Specification and contract documentation
  • Compaction and testing methods
  • Treatment and stabilisation techniques
  • Monitoring and risk management
  • Advances in plant and construction tech
  • Earthworks’ impact on society
  • Case histories and trial works
  • Building resilient and sustainable earthworks
