Dr Andy Moores, Research Director, CIRIA
CIRIA have been very grateful recipients of three awards from the BGA Research and Development Fund. These have been for projects on Engineering in Chalk, our Geospatial Community of Practice and our soon to commence project updating the Observational Method Guidance.
These awards have helped to enable the viability of each of these projects and raised awareness of CIRIA activities more broadly across the industry. The financial contributions have also been supplemented by expert input from BGA members and a culture of more collaborative working and promotion through speaking at events for which we are very appreciative.
Please pass on our gratitude to the BGA Research Fund Panel and indeed your membership more broadly – we hope that the guidance outputs CIRIA produces as a consequence of these contributions continue to be cornerstones of the ground engineering industry and a mechanism for ensuring research is translated into operational practice.
