The Rankine Dinner student lottery is open for registration
The BGA is pleased to announce a new scheme whereby a limited number of free student places will be made available for the Rankine Dinner, held after the Rankine Lecture. The BGA is proud to have developed this scheme as a way to allow students to attend the lecture, dinner and help build links with industry
Eligibility and conditions
- To be eligible to apply for a free place at the Rankine Dinner you must be a registered student (undergraduate or postgraduate) at a UK university (part-time students are allowed to enter).
- You must enrol as a student member of the BGA (free membership).The membership link is here
- It is expected that you will be available to attend both the lecture and the dinner.
- The prize includes a seat at the dinner, and reimbursement (at cost, based on receipts or evidence of payment) of reasonable transport to and from the event and accommodation for the evening (if required).
Applications close: 23:55 on 13 February 2025.
Following allocation to tickets by ballot, winners will be notified late February 2026. The BGA reserves the right to vary the conditions, should circumstances change.
