The British Geotechnical Association (BGA) is the principal association for geotechnical engineers in the UK.
The 2016 Accounts and 2018 Budget for the BGA were presented and discussed by the membership at the Annual General Meeting held at the Institution of Civil Engineers on the 21st June 2017.
The British Geotechnical Association is a Registered Charity (number 284131).
Widely viewed as the most prestigious of the invited lectures in geotechnics and was first held in 1961.

2025 GE Awards: Submission deadline extended
The deadline for submissions to the 2025 Ground Engineering (GE) Awards has been extended to 31 January 2025 to ensure the industry is fully represented.
