The Rankine Dinner will be held on 18th March 2020 following the lecture by Professor Stephan Jefferis of Environmental Geotechnics Limited on The Unusual and the Unexpected in Geotechnical Engineering: Observation – Analogy – Experiment. Further details of the lecture can be found here.
From this page you can download the flyer giving prices and describing the procedure to request tickets, together with an application form. Completed forms should be emailed to the BGA Executive at firstname.lastname@example.org by 31st December 2019.
Please note that the Dinner is often oversubscribed and a request does not guarantee that a place will be offered. Places will be allocated in strict order of receipt of a correctly completed application form and applicants will be notified of the outcome after 15th January 2020. In order to give as many members as possible the opportunity to join the BGA at this prestigious event, companies will be restricted to purchasing one table initially with the option of requesting a second table if demand allows. In the event of over-subscription applicants will be placed on a waiting list and advised as soon as possible if further places/corporate tables become available.
The cost remains at £90 per person including pre-dinner drinks, 3-course meal, wine at the table, and coffee to follow. The rate for a table for 10 people is £900. It is not necessary to nominate guests unless they have special dietary or access requirements. The BGA is not registered for VAT.
Please note that requests are not guaranteed until payment has been made by credit card when the booking system goes live in January 2020. Places will be allocated in strict order of receipt of these forms and applicants notified of the outcome after 15th January 2020.
