Piling 2020 Conference confirmed as an on-line event in March 2021

2020 has been a very challenging year for all of us, but the BGA is determined to deliver the content of the Piling 2020 conference in the best way possible in current conditions.

Although it is disappointing that, because of the ongoing problems associated with the pandemic, we are unable meet and discuss ideas face to face and have direct access to exhibitors, we are still aiming to provide an interesting and stimulating event on-line.

The conference will now be held over four mornings between Tuesday 23rd March and Friday 26th March 2021. There will be opportunities for all those who have prepared papers to make presentations. Details (timings, format etc.) will be sent to authors early in the New Year.

We want to make this a good experience both for presenters and attendees. Speakers will have an opportunity to meet the hosts and check that presentations are compatible with the platform that we are using. This gives the hosts the ability to understand the Speaker's requirements and for the speakers to address any issues with their presentations. All speakers will be advised separately of when the practice sessions will take place. However, only those who participate in these practice sessions will be able to present at the Conference.

Registration for the conference will open in January 2021. Details of registration and delegate fees will be posted on the Piling 2020 website. All delegates will receive PDF versions of the conference papers. We currently anticipate that the proceedings will be published in early March 2021.
